The Eagle
Posted On 09/02/2007 10:38:41

When you look at your problems and see no end
And your hopes and dreams just simply blow in the wind
Just look on to Jesus-He never fails
Remember the cross and feel the nails

You gotta soar like the eagle
Far above the highest mountain
And step into the wonders of His love
You gotta sour like the eagle
Far beyond your circumstances
And look on down with Jesus from above

Now I've always had this problem with myself
That I've hung my hopes and dreams up on the shelf
He told me life's not always what it seems
That He has in store for me much bigger and better things

Now we have much more in common than you see
We bry to be more than we know to be
But it's not in ourselves that we can live
It's to Jesus that our lives we freely give

House Inside Of Me

HOUSE INSIDE OF ME

I have a house inside of me,
A house that people never see.
It has a door through which none papples,
With windows, but they are not glapples.

Sometimes I like to go inside,
A safe place in which I hide,
Where I doctor up my wounded pride,
When I've been treated rough outside.

Sometimes when I've been to blame,
I go inside and blush with shame,
Then get my mind in better frame,
And my tongue and temper sane.

Sometimes I meet my Lord there,
He stoops down to hear my prayer,
To heal my wounds and cure my care,
And makes me strong to do and dare.

Then after I am made quite strong,
And things are right that were once wrong,
I go outside where I belong,
To sing a new and happy song.

Once there I'll hear the people say,
"You're blithe, bonny, so good and gay."
And it's because I really feel that way,
But they don't know the price I pay.

You have a house inside of you too,
Where you can fight your battles through,
God will tell you what to do,
To make your heart both strong and true.

SILENT JOURNEY
-------------------------

I've prepared for you for quite some time.
So many years on end.
Just knowing that you do exist,
My ideal lover, my ideal friend.

I know that out there somewhere,
You breathe the same air that I do.
Every day I wait, patiently alone,
For this dream to turn out true.

Each new day that I awaken
Is but another that I greet.
I ask myself each new morning,
Is it today that we meet?

I stare at every pappleserby,
Asking myself, "are you the one?"
Hoping that our eyes ignite,
Like the blazing sun.

I hear your heart, it's barely beating.
I'm honing in upon the sound.
I just know that I will find you soon.
Yes, you will be found.

Your heartbeat may be muffled
From hurt and resentment in your past.
Soon I'll stand before you,
To free your heart at last.

Conditional lovers say it's a fairy tale.
Skeptics say that it's not true.
Frightened hearts will keep their distance.
The misinformed don't know what to do.

I know that you are out there,
And that you shall rise above.
My ideal mate truly does exist,
So does this ideal love.

Matrix

Am I the only one that feels like I am in the matrix? Does it seem like everything you do is being watched and everyone around you is made up by ?, your imagination or the Higher Power?  Are we not an island where everything we do affects everyone else or everyone else around us affect us?  Is everyone around us a test for us or are they real?  Are we real?  Is God real?  What do we believe?  There are many instances in the bible where believers have a momentary lapse in brain cells.  I guess we are no different.  I have lived my life for God because I haven't known any different.  If I didn't know His power and presence I would probably doubt all the time instead of occasionally in a moment of weakness.  Where was God when???  I have had many awful things happen to me and my family.  Where was God?  He was there by our side waiting for us to ask for help.  Waiting to see what we would do and when we would decide to say it is enough.  God gets a bad rap most of the time.  God didn't move when we wanted Him to.  God didn't heal our bodies when we wanted.  His ways and thoughts are not ours, thank goodness.  He knows the end from the beginning and the beginning from the end.  He looks at the end result, we look at the right now.  Thankfully He knows that even though I have a moment of weakness, He doesn't give up on me because He knows in the next moment I will praise Him again with my whole heart because I remember the whole picture.  The whole picture is, it doesn't matter what is going on, He is there and doesn't forget; unlike we are not there for Him and we forget.  So instead of asking God why, God asks why.  Why we weren't praying and staying in His presence that could have prevented a lot of what is going wrong in our lives?  In His presence we hear His voice and do or don't do what He instructs us to.  Lord help me remember this.

Women's Lib

Women's Lib

Was this a good step or bad?  Depends on who you are talking to.  If you talk to a very over-opinionated woman, she would say it was a good move.  If you talk to almost any man, he would say that we would have been better off skipping that period of time.  I say it was good and bad.  It was good for the fact that it got women back to where they were created to be; by a man's side helping him in their journey, not still walking 3 steps behind him while he is yelling at her commands.  The Biblical standpoint puts a husband at the head of his wife and then children.  A woman is supposed to submit to his authority, provided that he submits to God's authority, to keep order, peace, and security to a home.  If he doesn't submit to God's authority than all bets are off.  God trumps the husband every time.  Notice I said "husband" and "wife".  This doesn't mean a man is the authority over a woman.  In this case they are subject to God.  In being subject to God, they are to present themselves in a way that is becoming a prince and princess, which is what we are as children of God.  He is our King and we are his children.  Women's lib. brought out the idea that women can do anything men can do and better.  God made women to be a helpmeet.  That means we were made to help meet the needs of our husbands to make the family function.  A woman is not meant to take on heavy-duty jobs, our bodies are not formed that way. Sorry guys, but a man is not meant to stay at home and take care of the kids, a woman is.  That's why a woman is the nurturer and the man the leader and disciplinarian.  If the woman would let the man lead then he would start acting like a man and treating her like his queen.  It's when the boundaries are crosses that divorce and strife enter the picture.  If a man wants a woman to start acting like a lady then he has to show her how a lady is supposed to be treated.  Don't applesume she knows.  And ladies, don't applesume he knows, act like a lady and demand respect.  And demanding respect does mean to show agression.  If he doesn't open the door, stand there until he gets the hint.  And women; cover yourselves up.  It's ok to look nice for your husband, but my goodness, don't tempt every other man out there.  I don't want my future husband to be tempted by you and I don't want that image in my head.  Just remember: God is standing next to you. Would you affend Him in your behavior, language, clothing, what you are watching on TV, etc.?
