NP Headline: ‘“Evolutionists fight over the word ‘Design.”’ At an AAAS meeting, scientist Ken Miller argued that “pro-Darwin forces need to acknowledge the appeal of ‘intelligent design’ and make the case that science itself, & evolutionary biology, is based on the idea of ‘design.’” Yet Dr. Bock, evolutionary biologist at Columbia argues that biologists need to stop using the term “design - design is an invalid synonym for adaptation.”

Yeh; and I'd like to see an animal or a fossil in a 1/2 vertebrate evolutionary stage or a bird with a 1/2 evolved wing. Better yet, a material mutable cosmos furnishing the pre-environment for the immaterial immutable laws of logic, universals, and moral law: all these are necessary for any scientific pursuit. Can't happen.

Without God as the foundation for the rational necessities, there cannot be any science. God doesn't just "probably exist," He must exist. Yes all the evidence points to this, and yes, even the process of obtaining evidence requires God, but above and beyond that, God is necessary for the epistemic essentials required for all of the above.
