BOOKS
The Bible - of Course. Dean Koontz - Dean Koontz -DeanKoontz... His Odd Thomas series is great! Stephen King is not too bad either. All of Frank Peretti's books. Oh - yes- I loved The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons by Dan Brown (though many of the facts were skewed and twisted to fit the plot). I also enjoyed 1984 and Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell. Oh yeah - there is this really awesome Bible Study I did - called Search for Signifigance... I would be in a much different place with out the wisdom that book lead me to. The poetry of John Donne as well...
You Should Be A Poet
You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways.
And you have a great talent for evoking beautiful imagery...
Or describing the most intense heartbreak ever.
You're already naturally a poet, even if you've never written a poem.
The Order, Dead Poet's Society, Saw I & II & III (for those with a weak stomach - Saw III was the bloodiest), Gothica, Momento, Suicide Kings... Basically screw with your head, and make you think movies (Horror - non slasher movies, Dark Comedy, Drama/Action - think Bourne Idenity not Hunt for the Red October... I do not like most Romance or Comedy- there are couple out there I do like ie: Never Been Kissed, Ever After, Bruce Almighty, Anger Management).
MUSIC
Right now (that is as of 06/03/07) I have Jennifer Knapp in my cd player. My collection includes: Disciple, Dead Poetic, Jennifer Knapp, Pillar, Petra, Super Chick, Skillet, Waterdeep, Rebecca St James, Casting Crowns, Green Day , DC Talk, Papa Roach, Jars of Clay, Nickelback, Breaking Benjamin, POD, Creed, Ginny Owens, Avril Lavigne, Mary Mary, Amy Grant, The Killers, The Valentines, Thinking Room and more, but I can't remember. Basically, I am eclectic - Lately I have been craving Christian heavy metal - usually running on rock and accoustic, but going every which way. I do NOT like rap and true country (I don't mind some Pop Country).
I'm a poet, a singer, a writer, an artist... I love the arts, but love analytical challenges too. I can be rational and religious at the same time. I am currently trying to get my Accounting degree, my hope is to one day also receive an interior design degree and law degree as well.
I believe wholey in the Bible, my Faith is my strength, more important than what some may call a "crutch." My faith in my Savior Christ is my life force and my path. I am a Christian, trying to get back on the saddle lately, still figuring out where the dirt road ends and the yellow brick road begins.
I do have a strange sense of humor. I probably joke about things that would be considered "uncouth," but that is how I cope with my past, and learn to accept who I am today. I have a dark and playful heart, sometimes you may talk to me and I will seem like a mature, wise, woman who has the world figured out and the next moment I will be giggling like I am 5 again (I think we all get like that sometimes). I can't really drink and have to watch the caffiene intake (I know, some people may consider it is unfortunate), but that's ok.
So - if you want to talk - send me a message...
