The Old Man

To The Citizens of the United States of America
Spirit-of-Truth-Ministries

This really for those who reside in the United States of America and are supposed to be her citizens!

From a friend

The Old Man

As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open.

The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.

I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too and took a few steps towards him. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something.

The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.

I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine. He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay.

I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'

He smiled sheepishly and quietl y nodded his head. I looked under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me.

Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back. I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.

The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated engine) I spoke with the old gentleman.

When I shoo k hands with him earlier he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'

He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal . He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over.

As we talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.

He still reached for the wallet and h an d ed me a card that I assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket. We all shook hands all around again and I said my goodbye's to his wife.

I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at the station I told them that they had interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me.

One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I would and drove off.
For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long, time. The name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his name........'Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'

I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading it over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together, because one of us needed help. He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have stood next to greatness and courage and an honor to have been in his presence.

America is not at war. The U.S. Military is at war. America is at the Mall.

If you don't stand behind our troops, PLEASE feel free to stand in front of them!

Vote smart this November or don't bother voting at ALL.  If you're just watching the news to get your knowledge, you're not informed enough to vote.  YOU need to get into your Prayer Closet and on your face before God and ask Him who to vote for.  I know who He will tell you, but find out for yourself.

PROPHET MARTIN YOUNG HAS GONE HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD

PROPHET MARTIN YOUNG HAS GONE HOME TO BE WITH THE LORD
Linda Pittenger
Sep 16 2008 06:35PM

My heart is surely hurting today!  Martin was what I consider to be a spiritual father in the prophetic for me.  I took his School of the Prophets course on prophecy/prophets and he was the one that encouraged me to start my InJesus site.  He told me I had a unique style of writing that should be shared and would encourage me and also would confirm the things I wrote as from the Lord.  He will be sorely missed; I have already been missing his teaching for the past year.  He did write some, but not a whole lot.  I have ministered to him this past year and I know how much he wanted to live to keep ministering for the Lord and to be with his family.  I am grateful that he is no longer in pain and is at home with his Heavenly Father.  It saddens me that someone who was so sold out to the Lord is no longer here to minister to those who aren’t sold out.  Martin may have lost the battle of cancer, but he won the war!  Satan loses again!   Satan tried his hardest to stop Martin’s faith in God, but it only built it stronger, and he is now at home with the Lord and I am sure he is lovin’ it!  No longer does he have to “only imagine” what it will like, he knows!

I would hope that you all will pray and see what the Lord would have you do to help his family; the financial burden has been great this past year with the chemo and all.  Marie his lovely wife said she misses his laughter and how he cared for the family.  I know anything you can do would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to invite you to go to Martin’s InJesus site to read his teachings, I know you will be blessed and in a way by doing it we are saying Martin lives on and is still proclaiming the works of the Lord!  He was not a ooey gooey prophet, his words came straight out of the mouth of the Lord and he didn’t change them one iota to tickle the listeners ears and to tell them what they wanted to hear instead of what the Lord said.  Go to:

Also for those who knew Martin here is a link to his obituary, I love his picture; you can just see the countenance of the Lord in his eyes and in his smile!

And here is his wife’s address for cards and gifts:

Marie Young

 539 Hibiscus Way

 Orlando, Florida 32807 USA

Father, we come to you in the precious Name of Jesus.  Father we thank you for bringing Martin into our lives, for calling him into a life of service to You and the Body!  Father just give him a big ol’ bear hug for us and let him know that he does live on through those he taught by our sharing his teachings even now, yes he does live on and is still proclaiming the works of the Lord!  Amen

We will miss you Martin and look forward to the day we can meet face to face!

Always your sister in Christ!

Linda

At 7:32 AM Michal Ann Goll stepped into Heaven

This past weekend I ministered in a conference hosted at Mahesh and Bonnie Chavda's church in North Carolina. It was a powerful time and I was blessed to be a part of it. However I was in contact with Kathy Colbert, who has helped so much with Michal Ann during this season, and she made me aware that Michal Ann's strength was slipping and that I needed to come home.

On Sunday night I did return home and my good friend Bill Greenman picked me up at the airport and we began making our way to the house. Earlier that day Mickey and Barbara Robinson had come over and prayed for Michal Ann and as they ministered to her, a big smile came to her face as they prayed. They were still at the house when we arrived; Bill came in with me and as he prayed for her, again a smile came over her face and a peace invaded our bedroom. As I spent the night in the room with her, I knew that she was nearing the end of her journey. The next morning, after I ministered to my wife through the night, Michal Ann breathed her last breath on earth and stepped into heaven to be with her Lord, her first love!

Michal Ann fought harder than anyone could have believed, including the doctors. I was always impressed with her fight to live until the last! Her legacy of Compassion Acts is going to live on in the hearts of many - and the lives that it is changing will help change the world to move in the Compassion of Jesus!

We will be having two services for Michal Ann as she is worth the double blessing. HA! One will be in Nashville, TN on Thursday and the other is in the process of being planned in Odessa, MO this weekend (details will be forthcoming). Michal Ann will be buried at the Dover Cemetery in Dover, MO. Donations in lieu of flowers on behalf of Michal Ann may be made to Compassion Acts to support the dream that she carried in her heart for the poor and broken of the earth. The details for all arrangements are below.

Who Gave Them the Right to Change the Words of History?
Posted On 08/04/2008 02:33:53

SHALL WE HIRE A MONUMENT ENGRAVER TO GO TO ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY AND ADD THE MISSING WORDS?

A MESSAGE FROM AN APPALLED OBSERVER:

Today I went to visit the new World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. I got an unexpected history lesson because I'm a baby boomer; I was one of the youngest in the crowd. Most were the age of my parents, Veterans of 'the greatest war,' with their families. It was a beautiful day, and people were smiling and happy to be there. Hundreds of us milled around the memorial, reading the inspiring words of Eisenhower and Truman that are engraved there.

On the Pacific side of the memorial, a group of us gathered to read the words President Roosevelt used to announce the attack on Pearl Harbor:
Yesterday, December 7, 1941-- a date which will live in infamy--the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked.

One elderl y woman read the words aloud:

'With confidence in our armed forces, with the abounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph.

'

But as she read, she suddenly turned angry. 'Wait a minute,' she said, 'they left out the end of the quote.. They left out the most important part. Roosevelt ended the message with 'so help us God.

'

Her husband said, 'You are probably right. We're not supposed to say things like that now.

'

'I know I'm right,' she insisted. 'I remember the speech.' The two looked dismayed, shook their heads sadly and walked away.

Listening to their conversation, I thought to myself, Well, it has been over 50 years she's probably forgotten.

'

But she had not forgotten. She was right.

I went home and pulled out the book my book club is reading --- 'Flags of Our Fathers' by James Bradley.

It's all about the battle at Iwo Jima
I haven't gotten too far in the book. It's tough to read because it's a graphic description of the WWII battles in the Pacific.

But right there it was on page 58. Roosevelt’s speech to the nation ends in 'so help us God.

'

The people who edited out that part of the speech when they engraved it on the memorial could have fooled me. I was born after the war!? But they couldn't fool the people who were there.

Roosevelt’s words are engraved on their hearts now I ask: 'WHO GAVE THEM THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE WORDS OF HISTORY??????'

Send this around to your friends People need to know before everyone forgets.

People today are trying to change the history of America by leaving God out of it, but the truth is, God has been a part of this nation, since the beginning. He still wants to be..and He always will be!

If you agree, pass this on.

If not,
'May God Bless YOU!'
'Wake up AMERICA,
It's Time we TAKE our Country Back'
