Sin
Posted On 08/01/2012 13:29:49 by elliedunn1145

I'm coming across people on one of my other Christian Sights, that say they no longer sin.....That once we accept Jesus, we no longer have the desire to sin....That those who still sin, are not really Christians.... Excuse me?

Romans 3:23, says: For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God....

We are not perfect....Only Jesus is perfect....Jesus is the one who died for our sins, He took them to the cross....When we accepted Jesus as our Savior and asked for forgiveness, we were forgiven....And the Holy Spirit became our guide.....But....

What about the sins we commit, after accepting Jesus as our Savior?  Oh yes, there are those who proclaim that they have all been forgiven, that we no longer have to pray for forgiveness, because God has taken all temptation away....But.....

Do we always listen?  Remember, no one is perfect....No one, but Jesus....He alone is perfect....So the answer to that question is no, we don't always listen....We see something, or we hear something, and we think yeah!  I want that, or I want to do what that person is saying, and we go our merry way, and then.....SLAP!!

Ouch!!  The Holy Spirit just let us know....That was wrong...Why did you do that?  Why didn't you listen?

Tell me....Do you pray and ask forgiveness, or do you think, I don't need to pray, Jesus already took care of it, The Holy Spirit didn't have to let me know, since Jesus already took care of it.....

Sorry, but if the Holy Spirit says it's wrong, then it's wrong...You need to ask for forgiveness....

If, we no longer sin, or give in to temptation, then why did Jesus leave us the Holy Spirit to be our guide, to teach us in the ways we must go?

I'm going to listen, when the Holy Spirit lets me know that I've committed a sin, and I'm going to ask for forgiveness.....

I realize that others believe differently from me, and I accept their ways, but I must say this....Because a person chooses to listen to the Holy Spirit, when the Holy Spirit Convicts them, does not mean they are not Christians....

Those who walk in Faith, will understand what I'm saying here....
