In the World, But Not of the World

In The World, But Not Of The World

John 17:11-16 says;

  And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee.  Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

  While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

  And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

  I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

  I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them form the evil.

  They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”

Although there are many Christians that are very spiritual, we can not live in some pseudo spiritual plane.  We were created to live in this world, but with the dual ability to walk in the spirit, while living on the earth.   Adam was able to hear God’s (who is Spirit) voice walking in the garden in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8).  Adam had the ability to see clearly, and hear clearly, in the spirit realm, as well as, in the natural realm.  He was able to have a relationship with God in the spiritual realm, while he yet walked and existed in the natural realm.  He was both a natural man, and a spirit man.

When Adam sinned he lost that ability to have unhindered fellowship with God in the spiritual realm.  Adam lost his spiritual place.  Jesus, who is often considered the second Adam (I Corinthians 15:25) bought back the place that Adam once had with God, through His sacrificial death, burial and victorious resurrection.  Jesus was in the world reconciling it unto Himself, but He was yet not of this world.  Walking with God or having communion with Him is the key to living in the world, but not having its sinful pleasures, as your goal or desire.  When Enoch walked with God, he was in the world, but not of it, so much so, that God took him (Genesis 5:24).  I believe that God did this, so that He could have unhindered fellowship with Enoch in the spirit, in the bosom of Abraham.  For it is here that all the Saints of God who died before Jesus sacrificial death on the cross, waited for the His resurrection (Matthew 27:52-53 and Luke 16:23- 31).  This is because no one ascended to the Father, before Jesus (John 3:13).

You Have Been Called Into God’s Kingdom.

I Thessalonians 2:12 says;

  “That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.”

You have been called, right now, to God’s Kingdom.  When you gave your heart to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior you entered into a new dimension of life, in which you have dual citizenship, both in Heaven, and on earth.  Although you are in this world, you are no longer of this world, this is because you have a spiritual birth entitling you to the benefits from the place of your birth or origin.  John 15:18-19 says;

  “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”

Although you are not of this world, you are yet sent into the world.  John 17:18 says;

  “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.”

You need to begin to identify with Jesus.  As He is, so are we in this world.  Not as He was, but as He is.  He is victorious and so are you in this world.  I John 4:17 says;

  “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

While Jesus physically walked on the earth, He declared many times that His Kingdom was not of this world.  John 18:36 says;

  “Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not form hence.”

It was not earthly, but Heavenly.  Although earth was in His Kingdom, it was in rebellion, because Adam’s sin had not yet been paid for.  When Jesus died on the cross, He bought back the rights to earth, and all that is therein, that Adam had given away through disobedience.  Now we have the privilege and responsibility to enforce the God’s Kingdom on the earth.

You Are An Ambassador To Earth, And The People Therein.

II Corinthians 5:20 says;

  “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

Just as with nations who have ambassadors that they send to other countries to represent them, so you are an Heavenly ambassador, sent to represent God’s Kingdom here on earth.  This is not your home.  Although you are not home, you should not lose the ways of home (Heaven).  You are in the world as a legal representative of earth (through Adam), to request that God’s will, and Kingdom be brought into this world.  In the Lord’s prayer we are instructed to do such, Matthew 6:10 says;

  “Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”

It is your responsibility to bring the things of God’s Kingdom into this world.  You must bring the Kingdom of God unto men as Jesus did.  Matthew 12:28 says;

  “But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

The Kingdom of God is not some inferior Kingdom, that has no authority or power.  When God’s Kingdom comes, it comes with power.  Mark 9:1 says;

  And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.”

The Kingdom of God is not just preaching the word of the Gospel, but the demonstration of power in the Gospel.  I Corinthians 4:20 says;

  “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

Setting The Atmosphere.

     We are often amazed by the acts of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  His words, healings, deliverance, signs, miracles, and wonders were awe inspiring.  Jesus was bringing the laws of the Kingdom of God into the earthly realm.   Wherever Jesus went He changed the atmosphere, by bringing God’s Kingdom in.  You must do the same thing.  The more you submit to God’s Kingdom, the more of His Kingdom will be manifested in you and your surroundings.  One of the best ways to set an atmosphere for signs, miracles and wonders, is to begin to praise God for them.  Praise sets the atmosphere that is conducive to the moving of the Holy Spirit.  Praise God for those things that you have asked, even though you have not seen the manifestation yet.  Praising God before the manifestation of what you have asked is faiths language.

Enforcing Kingdom Life.

     Just as Adams sin caused a curse to come upon the earth, Jesus sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection gives us the ability to enforce resurrection life upon the earth.  Because of what Jesus did we have His authority in the earth to bring His Kingdom to it.  You are to speak Kingdom of God life into the earth and to its inhabitants.

     Don’t except mans fallen limitation as your authority.  The Word of God tells us that we are redeemed from those things that cause death and decay.  Your bounds are not set by earthly laws, but rather Heavenly, for you are a citizen of God’s Kingdom.  Wherever you go, you bring the benefits of God’s Kingdom.  Jesus said that His Kingdom was not of this world, He also declared that if He desired He could ask God the Father for more than 12 legions of Angels.  Matthew 26:53 says;

  Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?”

At Jesus request, the strength of His Fathers Kingdom, would take up jurisdiction over this earthly kingdom.  Because you are part of the Body of Christ, the resources of your Fathers Kingdom, to subdue and overtake this earthly kingdom is available to you.  Wherever you are, the laws of the Kingdom of Heaven applies, because you are an ambassador of that country.  Wherever you are there is a Heavenly embassy, with its laws that govern that area.

     You must start acting, walking, talking, and thinking in line with the laws an privileges of the Kingdom that you are an ambassador (Heaven).  You will begin to see Heavens laws manifest wherever you are, and through out your life.  As an ambassador of Christ you represent the Kingdom of God.  There is no sickness, infirmity, demonic oppression, lack of provisions, or supply in the Kingdom of God.  You are God’s representative, who has been commissioned to bring those things from His Kingdom into this world.  In Luke 10:8-9 the disciples are commissioned to bring the Kingdom of God to earth, it reads;

  “And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

  And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.”

The Kingdom Of God Is Within You.

     You carry the Kingdom of God and all of its benefits inside you.  Luke 17:20-21 says;

  “And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

  Neither shall they say, Lo here! Or, lo there! For, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”

If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you have the Kingdom of God inside you.  All the benefits and provisions are inside you, through the Holy Spirit.

     You have also been given keys to the Kingdom.  Keys mean authority.  We just need to know how, and when to use, what key.  Matthew 16:19 says;

  “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

You have keys (plural).  You have keys to bind and loose, keys to praise God for the answer, Keys to declare the word, and keys to use the name of Jesus Christ.  It is all within you.  Just believe it!

God Has Not Forsaken You.

Psalms 37:25 says;

  “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”

If you are a citizen of Heaven, there is never a time that you don’t have your needs met.  You may not have employed the strategy that God has given you to receive the manifestation of that need or request.

So don’t worry about provisions, just seek the Kingdom of God, and all of your needs will be met (Luke 12:22-32).  In the Kingdom of God there is no lack.  It is God’s desire to give you the provisions of His Kingdom.  Although you are in the world, when you ask God the Father, your request goes into His Heavenly Kingdom, and the answer is sent back to you.  You just need to open up your hands, and stretch them toward Heaven in praise to receive.  Don’t stop praising until you get it.  Your praise and thanksgiving exhibit’s the faith that pleases God.

     The Lord told me that there is nothing that He withholds from His children, but our praise must equal our request.   We ask, and ask, and ask, and ask, but we don’t receive.  Stop asking and praise God, and praise God, and praise God, and praise God.  This will manifest the answer to your request.

Whether that answer is new directions, or the manifestation of what you have asked for, it will come.

In the Kingdom of God Praise says I believe (faith).  It is faith that is the catalyst to birth forth God’s answers to you.
