Often times we experience things in life that cause us pain and heartache. Some of us take a little longer to grasp ahold of why we go through some things more than others. Sometimes we bring it on ourselves and sometimes we are victims of natural circumstances.

What I have learned is that it is not what we go through but how we go through it that really matters. Do we allow circumstances to rule our life and future or do we rise above those things and continue our journey with hope and determination believing that tomorrow things will get better.

I have found that the worst things that have transpired in my life were the life forming events in my life. They showed me who I really was and what I am truly made of. I have learned to embrace the adversities in my life knowing that those things that I find myself wanting to run away from are the very things I need in my life to help me to become all that I need to be for my purpose in this life.

So words of encouragement for anyone out there who is feeling discouraged, depressed, or hopeless. Know that those things that look like impossibilities to you are bridges to possibilities in you. As painful as some things can be... embrace the pain and uncomfortableness of the situation and be open to the changes that will be brought forth through your adversities.

When there is a storm... there is always a lifting of the clouds.. then the sun breaks through and there is a rainbow. The rainbow is a promise of hope for tomorrow.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.

That is God's promise to you today. Embrace Him and He will show you great and mighty things that you know not of.
