We live in a generation where many people consider religion and God to be a weekly sunday thing instead of the thing that their life revolves around. We are all on occasion guilty of this. So many of us do not pray daily for things we are grateful for, for little things in our lives just to talk to God. Instead praying has become a way of asking God to do this, asking God to do that. We ask God for way to much and do not thank him for enough. Prayer is meant to keep a relationship between you and the Lord. It is not meant for our own selfish gain. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with asking God for things. But maybe as a nation we should pray regularly to build a relationship also.
