I've already shown how the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 is presented incorrectly by Tim LaHaye and many others.  And how the 70 weeks of years is a 490 year period that ran from 457 BC until 34 AD.  You can not logically snip the last week off and put it hundreds of years after the 69th week, although this is what some do and try to make it into a endtime 7 year Tribulation.

As for this "Rapture" doctrine that is relentlessly pushed onto us, it is also logically repudiated.  As a doctrine, like it is now presented, it can't be found back further than about 1830.  Some research seems to indicate that it may have started in Britain with a certain Margret MacDonald.  That seems to be where the roots of the Left Behind series are rooted, and not back any earlier. The Scofield Reference Bible was possibly the first bible with notes to even mention the doctrine! In various little videos on Godtube and elsewhere the secret rapture is presented as happening at the start of a 7 year tribulation period.  In these films millions suddenly disappear and those left behind are confused about what happened..  Sometimes the little video will show the inside of a church and then a great bang occurs and a few people are left in the pews wondering!  Sometimes it is presented as happening with no sound at all.  This is not what the Bible teaches.  The only "rapture" that does take place is at the Second Advent of Jesus, which is secret only in the sense that the date is not on the calendar.  At the second coming there is a "catching away"but only after the dead in Christ are first raised.  Here is 1 Thessalonians 4:16--

"For the Lord Himself will descend (at 2nd Coming)from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air......."

Notice several things here...although its liken to a thief in the night because its not announced before hand it is certainly not secret when it does start.  Theres a Trumpet blast and a shout.  Not only this the dead in Christ rise first.  This happens suddenly but not secretly.  The unsaved experience sudden destruction.  These things happen at the singular Second Coming of Jesus.  He will return in a similiar manner in which he left.  Acts Chapter 1 mentions his ascension. Theres only one Second Coming and these things take place in conjucntion with it. Matthew 24:30--indicates the same thing but mentions the angels gathering the elect...  

Please don't be taken-in by false teachings about the "Last Days".  Theres only this world and the World to come and the Second coming is what divides the two!
