Hebrews 12:18-24, For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard IT begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. FOR THEY COULD NOT ENDURE WHAT WAS COMMANDED: AND IF SO MUCH AS A BEAST TOUCHES THE MOUNTAIN, IT SHALL BE STONED OR SHOT WITH AN ARROW. And so terrifying was the sight that MOSES said, I AM EXCEEDINGLY AFRAID AND TREMBLING. I just want to stop for a minute, and I want you to think about what is said in the scripture you have just read. The Lord just commanded that no one could come near Him, if they did they would be killed, even Moses, who talked to God face to face, was terrified. BUT you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, toJesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of the sprinkling. May God bless His word to our hearts and to our minds, may He give us understanding. DO YOU GET IT, in the first part of this passage no one could come near the Lord, why, BECAUSE GOD IS HOLY,and were not, definitely not, we are full of sin, all have fallen short, no one is worthy. But now we can come into the presence of God. Because now we who are in Jesus are covered in His blood, and that is how the Father see's us, through the blood of Christ. What can wash away my sin, nothing but the blood of Jesus, though my sins be as scarlet, He will make me white as snow. The blood of Jesus Christ makes us clean and covers all our sin. But in order to receive this wonderful blessing, you have to ask Jesus into your heart, and you have ask Him to forgive your sins. Have you done that, if you have not, its easy to do. And it's really about making a choice, just a simple choice. No one knows the wonderful things the Lord has for those who love Him, that is what He tell's us, we will be with Him in paradise forever. But for ALL those who dont know Him there is another place, a terrible place. A place that is so dark that there is a complete absence of light, where you are all alone forever, and for all eternity you will be aware that you could have chosen to be with the Lord in paradise, and you chose not to.
