Sacrifice
Final Ministry Blog from
The Jesus Nexus
Sacrifice, I have heard the Christian songs that speak of this and the Christians that say, I will follow Jesus, No Matter The Cost. But how many really would? Would you give up everything you own to do something He asked you to do? Would you lay down your life to serve and glorify Him? Does He mean more to you that all that you own or your life? We did to Him! We the ones who confess Him as Lord and stay in sin, We who go to church on Sunday and to the strip clubs on Friday. We the ones who say grace at dinner and cheat on our spouses two hours later. We who praise his name with song, yet get drunk in the privacy of our hotel rooms while on the road. Reaching those who are hopeless with our songs, only to turn our backs on them once we meet.
Leaders in the Church saying we should live one way, yet they do the same as the ones they tell not to. Jesus knew all this about us and more and still He allowed himself to be beat and then hung on the cross for us, for you! Jesus, without fault or sin, did this for us, for love. God gave me a vision to do a concert last weekend, to help people who are in pain, hopeless, suffering with thoughts of suicide. Doing self/injury to deal with emotional hurt from Physical and Sexual Abuse, or Depression. During the planning of the event a couple that have a ministry in Georgia was given a message from God to tell us. It was a message I already knew, but it was confirmation of the vision I had. They were told something awesome would take place that day, and it did. Lives were changed and touched, People were healed emotionally and physically. People also accepted Jesus as Lord! The Holy Spirit moved that day. Testimonies exposed the devils lies and set the captive free! They were also told that this event would cost the ones that had it everything they had, and it did, I knew it would, but did it anyway, because it was what God asked us to do. I can now no longer afford to continue to do this ministry, besides the 13 social networks including our own myjesusnexus.com we work on, there are also the concerts and events this takes an incredible amount of time, effort and most of all money. We are out of both. So I believe if it is God’s will to keep this ministry going, he will send the means for that to happen. All of you have meant so much to us and we will try and keep the free sites like myspace going, the concerts are finished and the .com sites will continue until end of the month.
God bless, Mel and The Jesus Nexus family. <
