I dont really like it when people say you can not hang out with somebody younger than you! I cant stand that when people do that! i believe friends are friends no matter what the age! so, i want to know what people think! even if it is bad i lik to hear it!

that is so true cus i mainly have friends that are older then me but i still like playin around with younger people and im the youngest in my youth group and my older brothers best friend is really nice 2 me and i guess he really doesnt care so this is really awesome even if others think its stupid but i DEFINENTLY don think it is. and friends are friends and u dont bell out on friends nomatter what

i have friends who are in their 20s, some in their early teens, some my age, and some that are senior citizens so i dont think it matters how old your friends are it just matters that they are your friends

I have friends who are both older and younger than me. I don't think it matters what age your friends are. Most have stated it already, what matters is being a positive influence and having fun together. Keepin it holy and knowing that whoever you have as a friend you both are living for Jesus and will continue to!

agreed...I mean..most of my friends are younger than me...haha...then again that sucks cus I'm the role model....so to the younger kids you just gotta know who to hang out with..and who not to hang out with. chose you're friends like you would chose an apple..find the one thats not rotten..haha...wow I just made that up. haha

Dude, I'm your friend and I see what you're saying but I also agree with some of these other people about the age difference. It's ok when you know the other's parents are ok with it, because I knwo when I become a parent I'll be a little cautious about my youngster rollin' with a big dude, but if I know the older person really well I wouldn't mind it. As long as you're looked at by the kid as a positive influence and a good role model, and the parents are happy, then it should be ok. Well, thats my 2 cents. I'll ttyl.

Friends are friends no matter what age, however, there should be balance in everything done.  It depends on the situation and person(s).  I can be friends with someone that is 2, but there are some things I should not do.  I can be friends with teenagers, but again it is more of a "big brother" / mentor relationship.  I can be friends with someone who is in their senior, but again the relationship is different.  A good example is your relationship with your parents.  As you grow up, you look to them for guidance, help and fun things.  As you become a teenager it is one of learning from them while exploring your own individuality.    When you become an adult your see your parents as friends and give them respect and honor due to them.  Also all believers/saved people in Christ are brothers and sisters so their is even that type of friendship too, no matter what age.   (yes, you learn to get along with your siblings.)

I think in terms of what is just that older people should interact with younger people to teach them and be a positive influence. Being a young person myself I know that I have bennifited greatly when I chilled with older peeps. I have friends 13-60, i get along with children,  and i'd so totally chill with like 80 year olds. It is also the responsiblity of younger persons to interact with their elders so they can learn and be a positive influence. HOWEVER when one is looking out in the best interest of oneself it can be dangerous to interact with people who are not adults or in your age category and I do recognize that they are precautions to take. The real issue is realizing when it is acceptable and safe  to befriend people who are far off in age. Truth to be told I don't know if i'm good at that or not.

i don't like that either, but i don't usually hang out with many ppl that are younger than me anyway. there are some cool ppl that are younger than me. friends are friends no matter how young or how old. so thats that.

yea I think that too, cause my best friend is 2 years younger than me. Sometimes yoyu have more in common with people that are the same age as you, but you don't have to be the same age.

yes i totally agree half my friends are older then me some older then me by 5 years lol maybe more? but yah.  i also find it annoying.  friends are friends no matter what age.
