Brock the Rocks Reasons Against Evolution

Hi, my name is Brock the Rock. You probably do not know me, but I wrote a paper for English 10 last year about how I got to Palmyra. In this paper I will share with you my thoughts about Evolution. The time I spent researching showed me it is scientifically incorrect. There are other theories that explain the beginning better than evolution. I also saw God make the earth.

In the beginning, evolutionists said there was a "Big Bang". The problem with that is explosions only demolish things not create them. Also if an explosion could make things where did the materials come from to make the Big Bang?

Evolutionists say that the fossil record of horses is a big piece of evidence for their cause, but this is what I have to say about that. They make the horse species look like they get gradually bigger and fewer toes. This is not the case however. It is made to look that way but the different species came from different parts of the earth and from different time periods.

Darwin said "If my theory be true, numerous immediate varieties, linking most closely all of the species of the same group together must applesuredly have existed, consequently evidence of their former existence could be found only amongst fossil remains." If evolution was what really happened, scientists should be able to find hundreds and thousands of transitional species. However not one since Darwin has been found. Some evolutionists believe otherwise by thinking animals like the Coelacanth was a transitional animal. We now know that to be wrong. "Coelacanth fossils stimulated evolutionists. It had primitive lung, developed brain, digestive and circulatory system ready to function on land and even a primitive walking mechanism. It was presented as a genuine transitional form from water to land. On December 22,1938, in the Indian Ocean, a living member of Coelacanth family was caught. In the following years 200 more were caught in different places of the world. But the observation was surprising! The Coelacanth had neither a primitive lung nor a large brain; it was a lipid pouch. Moreover, the fish use to live in depth of ocean and never approach to within less than 180 meters of surface; otherwise it dies. So, the last remaining evidence was proven to be falsified." -Manzur Ashraf.

When most people talk about evolution one of the first things that pop into their minds is mutation. You need to know that there are two different types of evolution. They are micro and macro evolution. One of them happens in nature and the other does not. Micro evolution occurs on the molecular scale. This is the type of mutation that happens in viruses. Sometimes the virus will die and sometimes it will live. This really does not change the type of virus. It only changes the way it will attack something. The other type of evolution is macro evolution. This is what scientists say occurs when a species of an animal has an extra limb or something that gets passed on through genes and eventually becomes a completely new species. Macro evolution would be disastrous if it happened. Let me give you an example. One day a mama pig had piglets. However, one of the piglets was different from the rest. It had webbed feet! This "wonderful gift" made it hard for him to walk. Not only was it hard for him to get to his food, but all the other female pigs did not want to mate with him. The end of the story is, he became weak from hunger, and killed, and eaten by a wolf.

The last fact that I will share with you is not necessarily evidence against evolution, but evidence that there is a God. The earth is a one-of-a-kind planet. Literally! God placed us exactly where we need to be. There are many key components for life, it had to be made by a Supreme Being. I will list some of the many that if they were just minutely changed in proportion it would make it not possible. Gravity, the right size of sun, the right type of sun, not too close to the center of our own galaxy, in between the arms of the galaxy (the arms is were all of the dying stars are that create supernovae), not too much of any kind of gas in our atmosphere . . . and the list goes on and on.

I hope you enjoyed my revisiting to Palmyra High, and I cannot wait until I come back. Now you know my views on this topic which I do not wish to force on anyone. I am only here to show you the facts that I know. If you have any questions, all you need to do is just ask.
