Ive never known a time where tyshe wasnt here, she has been a part of the family longer than I have. We do not sell our horses we keep them forever, once we get a horse they are family. I remember me and my sister used to throw our our horses birthday parties and make them salads and give them treats and clean them up real nice. On december 18 i was outside and seen my friend jared come running out of the barn yelling "jake jake horse horse!" and as i came running in the barn i saw my horse laying in one of the doorways half in and half out. I propped the door out of the way and worked on getting tyshe into a better position and get her to stand up. I ended up getting her turned and in a more comfortable position, but her breathing was getting more and more difficult, we had called the vet to come out and help, but she never got there in time, tyshe suffocated and died. It was not pleasent like when u take ur dog to the vet to get put down, I feel bad for my friend who had to witness such a terrible thing. I called the vet and told her she didnt need to come out. I would like to say that i was strong and there to comfort my sister and mother, but i wasnt, I went for a walk in the woods and cried like a baby. if only i was stronger maybe i could have picked up my 800lb baby, or if i was in the barn earlier i could have seen her break out of her stall, she had pneumonia and was very old. Tyshe was 39 years old (the oldest horse in the U.S is 40)
