I'll paint you a rainbow as a gift from me, then hang it from heaven for the whole world to see. On
a canvas of love I'll cover your fears, with a soft brush
I'll dry all your tears.
I'll paint you a
rainbow with feelings so deep, my stroke will be gentle, my
touch you may keep. On a palette of words I will tenderly
blend, colorful thoughts with bright verses to send.
I'll paint you a rainbow in reds, blues and
gold, stretched like loving arms ready to enfold. And deep in the center of the most vibrant hue, I'll
etch from memory the essence of you.

(Something for the heart...)
" What you give is
what you get." I am sure that everyone of us have heard those words
uttered again and again in our lives. They remain age old words of
wisdom that go back thousands of years. They go along with "reaping
what we sow" and "doing unto others as you would have them do unto
you." What amazes me most about these wonderful words, though, is the
truth that lies in them. I see this truth everyday in my own life.
This truth shines through the actions of my
youngest son whose smiles, hugs, and laughter light up the world around
him in spite of his handicap. This truth glows from the life of my
daughter whose kindness, friendship, and loving spirit brightens the
lives of those around her. This truth flows out of the behavior of my
oldest boy who is a friend to the world and never met anyone he didn't
like. This truth radiates from everything I watch my wife do as she
makes the world a better place for her family, friends, co-workers, and
the many pets she rescues. This truth lights up my own life as I see
again and again every good, kind, and loving thing I do come back to
bless me with even greater joy.
Don't be afraid
to give then. Give your time, your energy, your talents, your love, and
your joy. Share all the fantastic blessings God gives to you with those
around you. Become as Leo Buscaglia said "the most beautiful,
sensitive, wondrous, magical, unique, fantastic person in the world",
so that you can share that person with everyone everywhere. If you can
do this then what you will get back will be so glorious and wonderful
that you will never want to stop giving. It is true that what you give
is what you get. But if what you give is love, joy, peace, happiness,
goodness, delight, and oneness with God then what you get will be a
thousand times greater...

" LESSONS IN HUGGING

(Something to think about...)
Life's biggest
lessons aren't learned all at once. They are taught and learned time
and time again over years and years. I realized this today when I was
with my youngest son in the store. We were walking back and forth
looking for something both good tasting and good for you when he
suddenly reached over, wrapped his arms around me, and gave me a hug.
This made me smile with both laughter and joy. I realized then that
even though I hadn't been able to teach my son everything over the
years, I had at least been able to teach him how to hug.
I am so delighted too that all of my children have
learned this lesson so well over the years. My daughter's hugs brighten
my days and uplift my soul. I have been blessed a million times over by
the love and joy she so freely shares with me. My two sons' hugs always
bring happiness to my heart as well. It makes me feel good to know that
they have learned two of the most important things in life: how to
choose love and how to spread joy.
Remember
then that every loving act you do, smile you share, and hug you give
teaches all those around you as well. The lessons they share are
priceless. Little by little, time after time, and year by year they
teach the minds, hearts, and souls of all you touch. They spread God's
love and life's joy everywhere. They show all who are watching how to
love, how to give, and how to live.
I hope
that someone was watching when my son gave out his own lesson in
hugging. A single hug can warm a hundred hearts. Hugs like love, joy,
laughter, and smiles travel from heart to heart and from soul to soul
until they circle the world. They make us more like the angels and
Earth more like Heaven. They help us to give lessons in God's love and
wisdom each time we simply open our arms and wrap them around
another...

small inkling of what the future holds.

remaining open-minded. Try to learn something new every day, and you'll
grow.
K--Know Know that no matter
how bad things seem, they'll always get better. The warmth of spring
always follows the harshest winter.
L--Love Let love fill your heart instead of hate. When
hate is in your heart, there's room for nothing else, but when love is
in your heart, there's room for endless happiness.
M--Manage Manage your time and your expenses wisely,
and you'll suffer less stress and worry. Then you'll be able to focus
on the important things in life.
N--Notice Never ignore the poor, infirm, helpless,
weak, or suffering. Offer your applesistance when possible, and always
your kindness and understanding
O--Open Open your eyes and take in all the beauty around you. Even during
the worst of times, there's still much to be thankful for.
P--Play Never forget to have fun along the
way. Success means nothing without happiness.
Q--Question Ask many questions, because you're here to
learn.
R--Relax Refuse to let worry
and stress rule your life, and remember that things always have a way
of working out in the end.
S--Share Share your talent, skills, knowledge, and time with others.
Everything that you invest in others will return to you many times
over.
T--Try Even when your dreams
seem impossible to reach, try anyway. You'll be amazed by what you can
accomplish.
U--Use Use your gifts to
your best ability. Talent that's wasted has no value. Talent that's
used will bring unexpected rewards.

Someone like you that

People come into your life for a reason, a season or
a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know
what to do for that person. When someone is in your life
for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to applesist you through a difficulty, to
provide you with guidance and support, to aid you
physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like
a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you
need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something
to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die.
Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force
you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need
has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The
prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to
move on. Some people come into your life for a SEASON,
because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They
bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They
may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But
only for a season . LIFETIME relationships
teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in
order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept
the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned
to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is
clairvoyant. Thank you for being a part of my life, whether
you were a reason, a season or a
lifetime...
