I wrote this poem when I was like 10, I wrote it for a funeral on my mom's side of the family, this was placed in the middle of a basket of flowers, and placed in my mother's uncle's (the family member that died) pocket when he was buried, thought I'd share it with everyone (it doesn't ryhem though :(!):

Like Flowers,

We are planted by the Lord with a seed.

Then we turn to buds.

And bloom.

Then we fade away, but our stems will be planted again in heaven.

Okay, I hope you're patient with me!

I know I haven't been sharing new poems lately. I've been stacking a LOT of them up to share all at once. I'm working on a book full of love poems, a book full of funny poems and a series of books for little girls plus a variety of Christian poems.

I lost my mom to cervical cancer 10 years ago. I remember the day she came home from the doctors and told me while we were standing in the kitchen that she was diagnosed with cancer. I remember the day the hospital called me at work and told me to come to the hospital right away.

My life will never be the same.

After doing alot of research I found the Relay for Life and have made it part of my life now.

I know so many of us are touched by this horrible disease.
