Title: Our Ordained MOON

Blog Entry: When the Lord created our Moon, He designed it with precise balance because it would effect all life on Earth: “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night…and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth’; and it was so. Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night” ( Genesis 1:14-16 ).  Our moon is obviously ordained for a purpose: "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; ..."( Psalm 8:3 ). The Lords purpose for the moon is to rule the night, as a lesser light and to help us with the time and seasons, hence our calenders were invented with the moon in mind, however, we are not suppose to worship the moon or any created thing. Deuteronomy 4:19 give a warning about these activities. Good science and research have confirmed much of the above.  Few are aware of the fact that the moon is both 400 times smaller and 400 times closer than our sun!  Is this a coincidence?   Not likely!  The sun and moon working together give us the eclipses we have because their globes are the same size from our view below on Earth.  There are many other things that are not likely chance but reflect design. For example, the moon is important in influencing the Earth’s climate. The moon’s gravity has the effect of slowing down the Earth’s rotation. If the Earth’s rotation were a bit every day would be shorter. Shorter days would result in the temperature on Earth taking a substantial drop because there would be less time for the sun to heat the Earth. This would reduce food production.  Many more things could be pointed out that prove the moons importance and that it was placed where it is for us. Pastor Zomok
