Blog Entry: More verses on Thanksgiving: 1 Timothy 4:3-4:  men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth.  For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with gratitude; Psalm 107:8-9:  Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!  For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, And the hunger soul He has filled with what is good. Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; Sing praises for our God on the lyre, Who covers heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.  He gives to the beast to food, And to the young ravens which cry. Luke 17:17-18:  Then Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed?  But the nine--where are they?  "Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?" Romans 1:20-21:  For since creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made so that they are without excuse.  For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 14:6:  He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord does not eat, and gives thanks to God. Psalm 50:14:  "Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving And pay your vows to the Most High; Leviticus 7:12-15:   If he offers it by way of thanksgiving, then along with the sacrifice of thanksgiving he shall offer unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers spread with oil, and cakes of well stirred fine flour mixed with oil. With the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving, he shall present his offering with cakes of leavened bread. Of this he shall present one of every offering as a contribution to the Lord ; it shall belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. ‘Now as for the fleshof the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings, it shall be eaten on the day of his offering; he shall not leave any of it over until morning. Jonah 2:9:  But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving That which I have vowed I will pay Salvation is fro the Lord." 1 Corinthians 10:16:  Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ?  Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ? We're finished for today.  More tomorrow! God Bless!
