Blog Entry: We now start with Part 2 of this study: Part 2:  SOME VERSES SAY THAT JESUS IS GOD: Matthew 1:23:  "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." (God in the flesh?) Isaiah 9:6:  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 43:10-11:  "You are My witnesses," says the Lord, "And My servant who I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He.  Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.  I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me, there is no Savior." (Is this God speaking?  Or Jesus?) Revelation 1:17(b)-18; Revelation 2:8:  ("Do not be afraid.  I am the First and the Last.  I am the Living One; I was dead and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hod the keys of death and Hades. (Jesus speaking of Himself. He is the First and the Last, but is this saying He is God?) Revelation 2:8(b):  These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. (This basically says the same as Revelation 1:17) Isaiah 44:6:  This is what the Lord says-Israel's King and Redeemer, the Lord almighty:  I am the first and the last; apart from me there is no God. 2 Peter 1:1:  "To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ." (Showing that God and Jesus are one, are they?) Isaiah 44:24:  This is what the Lord says-your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb:  I am the Lord who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread the earth by myself, (God speaks here) Colossians 1:16: For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. (God?  Or Jesus?) John 1:1-3; John 1:14:  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made. John 1:14:  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only, who came from the Father through grace and truth. (Jesus is spoken of here, He became The Word/God in the flesh) Finished for today:  Brother Doc, please hold all you comments until the end of the Study, and allow the Lord to show me the truth.
