Title: His Healings!
Blog Entry: It seems that I'll be going through the Bible one chapter at a time, because His healing's are recorded throughout the New Testament.  So here we go! Matthew 4:23-25: This where I see the first healing....What do I see? Jesus was traveling through out Galilee.  He was teaching in the synagogues.  He announced the good news of the kingdom....He did healing's of every type of diseases and sicknesses among the people.  News spread all through Syria.  The people brought him all those who were sick and had different kinds of diseases..  There were people who suffered from pain,  People who were demon possessed.  Those who had epilepsy.  Even those who suffered from paralysis.  He healed them all. Large crowds followed him, from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from areas far beyond the JHordan River. Matthew 9:1: This is the next one I see. Jesus was in a boat, and had just crossed the lake to his own country.  And waiting there for him, he sees that people had brought a paralyzed man, who was lying on a cot.  Jesus saw their faith, and he had compassion for the paralyzed man and said, "Have courage, my child, your sins are forgiven." I can just see now....Those Pharisee's and those Scribner's (Legal Experts).  I can just see their anger, wondering how dare this man forgive another of sins, who made him God?!!  Knowing this Jesus ask's them which is easier?  To say your sins are for give, or you are healed get up and walk?  So you know, that I have the authority to forgive sins, he turned to the paralyzed man and said, you are healed get up, take up your bed and go home.  Matthew 9: 25: I just love this one! Remember when a ruler came kneeling before Jesus and saying, "My daughter has just died.  Come, place your hand on her and she'll live."  Jesus and his disciples got up and left with him.  Along the way something happens. There's a woman, who has been bleeding for twelve years came up behind Jesus and touched the him of his garment.  She thought.  If I just touch him, I know I'll be healed.  Just one little touch, that's all I need to do!  And so she touched his garment.  And Jesus felt power leave him.... He turned around wondering who touched him, and when she came forward and explained to him, about he condition, he told her, "Be encouraged, daughter.  Your faith has healed you."  She left, and from that time on, she was healed. He continued on to the ruler's house.  He saw those playing the flute and the crowd of people in distress.  He told them, Go away, the little girl isn't dead, but sleeping.  And they laughed at him!  He sent the crowd away and afterwards Jesus went in to her room and touched her hand, and the little girl rose up.  The news about this girl spread throughout the land. Matthew 9:27-30: Jesus leaves there, and there are others following him, besides his disciples....Among them are two blind men, who wer crying out, for the Son of David, to show them mercy. When he went into the house (could this have been a meeting place, or maybe a Synogouge?)  the blind men approached him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I can do this?  They said, "Yes Lord."  Jesus then touched their eyes and said, "It will happen for you just as you believe.  Their eyes were opened, and they could see!  Jesus warned them not to let anybody know, but they went out and spread the news about how he healed them. As the two men, who received their sight were leaving, people brought him a man who was possessed by demons, and was unable to speak.  Jesus demanded that the demon come out of him, and then the man begin to talk.  The crowds around him were amazed, claiming, that "Nothing like this has never been seen in Israel." Those Pharisee's though, they didn't believe that Jesus was who he said he was, and claimed that Jesus  threw out the demons with the ruler of the demons.  Nope didn't happen that way..... (I took a look back in Matthew, to see if I missed a healing, and oops I did.  Matthew 8:2: Jesus had come down from the mountain, and a man with Leprosy approached him, saying, "Lord, if you will, you can make me clean."  And the Lord responded with, I will, and touched him, and said, "become clean."  The Lord then said , "don't say anything to anyone, instead go show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded.")
