Blog Entry: Everything in our spiritual lives depend on the sort of God we worship. Because the character of the worshiper, us, will always be molded by the character of that we worship. If it is a cruel and revengeful God, then we, the worshiper, will be the same. But if it is a loving, tender, forgiving, unselfish God, then we the worshiper will be transformed slowly, wonderfully into this likeness. Father, Thank you for pursuing a relationship with me when I had rejected Your love. I know that apart from You, there is nothing good in me. Thank You for not giving up on me. Thank You for loving me with an infinite, unconditional love. Thank You for giving Your Son to take the penalty for my sin and to die in my place. Thank You for choosing me to be Your child and for making me Your cherished possession. Thank you for sending Your Holy Spirit to live in me and for making my body Your dwelling place. Thank You for Your commitment to change me and to make me like Jesus. Help me to cooperate with You in that process. Please produce in me the beauty--the heart, character, and responses--of the Lord Jesus. In His name I pray. Amen
