An Awesome book regarding marriage.

I have many favorite verses. Philippians 3:7,8 are my life verses.
But what things were gain to me, these things I have counted loss for Christ.

Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.

As I look at these verses again I cannot but help love the rest of the passage.

I was born in raised in a small Northwestern Pennsylvania Town called New Castle. I grew up on a horse farm and spent most of my childhood days on the back of a horse or pulling weeds in the garden. If we weren't doing that then we were down at Slippery Rock Creek fishing or roaming the woods somewhere hunting. I grew up in a Baptist church and attended Christian high school as well as spending one year at Word Of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake New York. I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior at 12 years old yet after leaving Word of Life I ran as far from God's calling as I could. In 2007 I could run no more and rededicated my life to Christ. I am the proud father of 5 children, the oldest being 22 and the youngest 11 months old. I have 4 step-children who I adore and two step-grandbabies. Fortunately we only have 3 living at home with us.

As I have gotten closer to God I have compiled stories of some of my experiences both with the horses and life in general. I have entitled these Lessons Learned. I am often reminded of things that I have gone through and realize now the lessons that God was trying to teach me then that fit into His perfect will for my life.
