Hello. My name is Justen. Just to let you guys know that even though I'm stationed in Port Angeles, Washington, I grew up pretty close to Lincoln. I am a strong Christian even though every one and thing around me cries out to me to conform. God is the rock I stand on. Even though I put Non-Denominational, my personal thoughts about theology line up with Baptist. I'm pretty open for non-essential different thoughts, just so long as we believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6) Also... it is important that you believe in the bodily resurrection. :) I love my job in the Coast Guard keeping our homeland secure. I am an outdoors guy from Nebraska so I like to run, bike, hike, and kayak. I'm not so much into the outer looks, but true beauty comes from Christ inside. Even though I don't care a whole lot of look, I believe that we all should take care of our bodies. Remember... It is the temple where God lives within us. Now that does not mean no piercing, or tattoos. Thoes are just fine as long as they don't dishonor the God we serve. Just to warn you that I'm kind of more old fashioned in my ways. You will have to just let me pay all the tabs, open doors for you, and several other things that I feel that modern society has lost. I go to Church as regularly as I can. (for now I go out to sea for 2-3 months at a time) I absolutely love kids. For 6 years I went on one week VBS mission trips to Mexico to share the Word with my old church. I also was a life guard for two years at a Christian day camp during the Summer, and currently I am a Sparks leader for kindergarten through 2nd graders at my church. Horses are my favorite animals. For a couple of years before I life guarded I taught kids from 8-17 how to ride them at a different camp in Nebraska. If you have any questions for me you can just ask me. I am not looking for someone just to say to the world that I have a girlfriend. I'm dating by God's standards to find a that special someone who He has already planned out for me. She has to be strong in her faith and won't falter. She will have to remember that if anything happens I will be right there next to her to walk through the tough times with her. I have a facebook page which I check daily if you want to chat with me more. I'm planning to stay in the Coast Guard until I retire at 39, so she would have to be ready to move wherever I go every few years. I know that could be tough, but I know many Christian guys in the military that have a solid relationship with their wives. After I get done with the Coast Guard I would love to become a High School Biology teacher. If that does not work out I also might look into law-enforcement jobs with Boarder Control or for Customs. Even though I have my plans I just pray that I will follow what God wants for my life.
For about the last year, I have been living a mostly pescatarian lifestyle. I say "mostly" because when the ship is out I'll eat chicken sometimes. I have only had beef a few times since, but it makes me sick. It all started out as a diet, but after I lost a lot of weight, I felt a new energy that I've not had before. I just figured that I'd let y'all know that this is pretty much a part of me now, and that is a personal choice that I've made. Also... I love animals, but I believe that God gave us dominion over them. So it is not that I'm against eating meet, it is just not all that appetizing to me. :)
